Chapter Events

Our Houston Texas Alumnae Chapter hosts a variety of events throughout the year designed to bring sisters together in friendship, philanthropy, and fun.

Founders Day

Tri Delta's Founders' Day celebrates the founding of our Fraternity at Boston University on November 27, 1888. The chapter also recognized Houston sisters eligible for membership as the newest Diamond, Golden, and Silver Circle members, honoring their commitment to Tri Delta for 75, 50, and 25 years respectively.

Wine Tasting

Our annual Wine Tasting is the spring social event for the Tri Delta Houston Alumnae Chapter and is traditionally held in mid-February. The event attracts sisters of all ages and includes light bites and wine comparisons.

PANSY BRUNCH

Tri Delta’s tradition of celebrating our sisterhood and alumnae Circle Degree is a distinct privilege of our alumnae chapter to celebrate what we now refer to as “Pansy Brunch”. Our incoming slate is announced and voted into office at this event as well.

the SALE

Presented by Houston Tri Delta Philanthropies, Inc. The Sale is a three-day shopping event featuring 50+ boutiques and brands with drastically reduced merchandise. In January 2025, The Sale celebrated its 11th anniversary and raised more than $425,000.

DELTA DINERS & DRINKS

Delta Diners + Drinks is a vibrant social group for Tri Delta women who love exploring Houston’s newest restaurants, bars, and local hotspots. We host lively gatherings that are relaxed, welcoming, and often family-friendly — plus ones are always encouraged! It’s the perfect way to connect, try something new, and enjoy great company in the heart of Houston.

READING BETWEEN THE WINES

Reading Between the Wines is a long-standing Tri Delta book club that first began in 2005. We meet at 7:00 PM on the fourth Monday of each month for thoughtful conversation, great company, and of course — a glass of wine or two. As the name suggests, we share both literary opinions and favorite pours! Monthly email reminders are sent, and new faces are always welcome. Come join our fun and welcoming group!

PINE NEEDLE READERS

The Pine Needle Readers meet at 10:00 AM on the third Tuesday of each month (unless otherwise noted), with a break in December. Enjoy warm conversation and engaging discussion of the month's selected book. We’d love for you to join us!

GOLDEN CIRCLE

Tri Delta’s tradition of honoring our sisterhood and the alumnae Circle Degree is a cherished privilege of our alumnae chapter — now celebrated at our annual Pansy Brunch. During this special event, we also announce and vote in the incoming slate of officers.

TRI DELTA BRIDGE

The Tri Delta Bridge Group is made up of members who share a love of bridge — and have built wonderful friendships along the way. We meet at 10:00 AM on the first Wednesday of each month (except January), from September through May, in the homes of our members. We warmly welcome new Tri Deltas who enjoy playing bridge and want to join the fun.

TRI DELTA TRADERS

Tri Delta Traders, founded in December 1999, is an investment club for Houston Alumnae Chapter members who are interested in learning more about the stock market and investing. Membership is open to both beginners and experienced investors. The group meets monthly, either via Zoom or in a member’s home, to discuss topics such as market trends, national and international economic influences, and strategies for stock selection. Together, members actively buy, sell, and monitor stocks while exploring promising new companies. Each member is assigned specific stocks to track and report on monthly. Members also take turns presenting new stock ideas for group consideration. The club requires a buy-in, monthly dues, and active Alumnae Chapter membership.
